A night of music (and cookies galore) celebrating the release of Sup Doodle's album Cookies, on which an electronic take of Gabriel David song "Shivers" is featured. Gabriel and other featured artists perform. Facebook event here. More info (from Sup Doodle himself) below:
"Cookies is a home-baked, sweet-and-salty blend of radio-friendly pop tunes, written and performed by local singer-songwriters and produced by Sup Doodle (aka Ryan Levin). On May 11, we're finally taking these delicious, freshly baked bites out of the oven. We'll be celebrating the album release at Arcana, with live performances by the artists, a listening session for the album, and plenty of actual cookies to go around.
"On the roster of performers are Durham favorites Emily Musolino, The Pinkerton Raid's Katie DeConto, Mailande Moran, Fredi Sholtz, Chapel Hill staple acts Gabriel David and XOXOK, and scene newcomer David Taylor.
"The event is free, but we'd love it if you made a $3-5 donation at the door for Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization based right here in North Carolina, so that one day all may enjoy glorious cookies. See you soon!"
